The main Lego franchise can be browsed in this video and are listed as follows: The smartphone and tablet versions of the games are the lesser cousins here and offer less involved gameplay in most instances while still being fun. The console versions offer better visuals and more fleshed out open worlds to explore, but the handheld DS, 3DS and PlayStation Vita versions are still impressive in the scope of gameplay and the 100's of characters they include from the franchise. There are many Lego games to choose from as you can see in the list. Played together in two-player mode makes this an ideal challenge for families. You need to use the right character to perform the right task to unlock new areas. The games are simple to pick up and play, although along with the button-mashing fights do require some problem solving to advance. Not only do these games offer a chance to explore, destroy and fight in a world made of Lego but they also serve fans of films like Star Wars, Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings with a chance to revisit the story and characters of their favourite movies.
The series of Lego games has developed since the first release on Nintendo DS.
When this is activated in Co-Op, Player 1 plays on the Gamepad while Player 2 is on the TV without splitscreen or stick-together limitations. The combination of Lego, a popular film franchise and a video game is a rich recipe for gaming fun.
The Wii U Gamepad has a second screen with the option for Off-TV Play. Even worse than that, if one player falls off a big distance in those previous games, one player will drop out automatically. This wouldn't work in previous games as if you try to split up, you'll get stuck. When the players split up, the screen will split and when they get back together the screen will merge. LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues onwards have splitscreen co-op play. Also, there is one exception to the rule in the level Darth Vader, the players cooperate together to escape the crumbling area, and then battle each other for victory, playing as either Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi. There are a few extra things in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, there was a Multiplayer Battle Arena that took place on stages to knock each other out for points. Two people can play together, P1 or P2 alone, and either can drop out at any time. For every game in the series, the multiplayer premise has been the same two players can play (in hubs, bonus levels, and normal levels in every mode). Co-Op Mode is the ability to play cooperatively with a friend using a second controller.
